Patient Possession Limits

Qualified patients authorized by a neurologist may possess unspecified amounts of “hemp extracts,” which are defined as preparations of cannabis plant material containing less than 0.3 percent THC and more than 15 percent cannabidiol. Patients must also possess a “hemp extract identification card” issued by the state Department of Health in order to legally possess high-CBD extract products.

HB 230 was passed into law without governor's signature. "An act relating to food and drugs; authorizing industrial hemp farming as specified; providing for hemp farming for research purposes; providing licensure requirements; authorizing enforcement and penalties; creating a misdemeanor; providing rulemaking authority; providing an affirmative defense for marihuana prosecutions as specified; and providing for effective dates."
